Helen (Salamendras) Giokas, age 91, passed away on Wed. Dec. 16, 2015 at Willimansett West Nursing Home. She was born on March 12, 1924 in Montreal, Canada. She was a daughter of the late Andonis and Angeliki (Pavlou) Salamendras. She was the secretary for the Woman’s Club and President of Sunday school at Sts Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. She leaves her husband Niketas Giokas of Chicopee; her daughter, Angie Poulis and her husband Kostas of Chicopee; her son Louis Giokas and his wife Cynthia of Wesley Chapel, FL and 3 beloved grandchildren, Kate, Jonathan and his wife Dominique and Christopher. She is predeceased by her sister Bessie Topulas. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 in Sts Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church from 10 -11 a.m. with a Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
