Obituary

Laconia-----June M Danku 91, of North Street, Died Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Lakes Region General Hospital.
June was born June 19, 1924 in Canoe, Pennsylvania, daughter to the late Joseph and Catherine (Jackson) Hunter. She worked as a caregiver from her home taking in foster children and veterans for many years. June also worked as an Army recruiter for several years after moving to New Hampshire. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. June also loved raising poodles in her younger years, but will be remembered most by her family for her love of shopping.
June is survived by her two daughters, Diane Insley of Laconia and JoAnn Schreck of Spotswood, NJ; a brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Fox of New York; a sister, Elizabeth Bolton of Florida; two grandchildren, James Thomas Jr. of Laconia and Jerome Schreck Jr. of Jamesburge, NJ; two great-grandchildren, James Banks of West Franklin, NH, Ariana Schreck of Jamesburge, NJ, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband, Stephen Danku and her sister, Delores Vorhees.
There will be no calling hours.
A Committal service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 1:30pm in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen NH in the Chapel.
