Obituary

Robert J. LaBelle 71, of Clinton St. died Sunday at Landmark Medical Center. Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Homer and Doris (Tardie) LaBelle. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
Robert worked for Peter Pan Ice Cream for several years until their closing. He also worked for Polar Ice and Juice Services. He retired from the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Dept. of Women and Infants Hospital. Bob was a member of the Woonsocket Elks and the Cercle Laurier. Bob loved calling bingo at Kennedy Manor, he also enjoyed playing cribbage, cooking, gardening and Wii Bowling.

He is survived by his three sons Kenneth LaBelle and Kevin LaBelle both of North Smithfield, and Kreg LaBelle of Coventry, a daughter Keri LaBelle of Phoenix, AZ, and four grandchildren Andrew and Alexis LaBelle, Chase Labelle and Courtney Deslauriers.

His funeral will be held Friday at 11:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon in St. Agatha’s Church, Joffre St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St. 2nd floor, Framingham, MA 01701 in his memory would be appreciated.
