Obituary

Kathleen A. (Leach) Powers of Plymouth (Manomet) died peacefully in her home on December 12th, she was the beloved wife of the late Edward F. Powers, Jr. Born in Long Island, NY on February 19, 1943 a daughter of the late Paul J and Anne (Crowley) Leach. Educated in Masapicana, NY and the Academy of St. Joseph school, and later Newton College and Tufts University where she earned her Masters in Special Education. Kathleen owned and operated Happy Hours Nursery School in Melrose.
Kathleen is survived by her son Edward F. Powers III and his wife Dana Eagar of Australia and Lauren Powers and her husband Gregory May of Plymouth. Her Brother Richard Leach of Delaware, grandmother of Ashley, Jacob, Evan and Ian. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Davis Funeral Home 619 State Rd. Rte. 3A Plymouth (Manomet) on Saturday December 19th at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Bonaventure Church Manomet at 10:00 am. Visiting hours on Friday from 6-8 pm. Burial in Manomet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to The Tai Chi and Qi Gong with Fang Association Kathleen A. Powers Memorial Scholarship Fund(to enable children at risk to take Tai Chi).Make checks payable to TCQGFA, write "children's program" on memo line, and send c/o K.
