TEWKSBURY - Mrs. Jennie Margaret Aloi, age 92, a well loved figure in her Pennacook Road neighborhood, died peacefully Monday morning December 14, at Blairehouse of Tewksbury, where she had been in residence for the last eight years. She was beloved wife for twenty years of Louis Aloi, who died in May 1982.
Jennie was born in Somerville, on November 3, 1923, the only child of Vincent and Ida (Paccini) Preziosi, and was raised in Somerville. She had lived in Arlington before retiring to Tewksbury in 1976.
Jennie worked as a bookkeeper at Star Markets, in Everett.
Mrs. Aloi was a communicant of St. William’s Parish, and was active in her late years at the Tewksbury Senior Drop-In Center.
She leaves a beloved daughter, Sarah Mazzone, with whom she resided, a devoted granddaughter, Teresa Mazzone, of Tewksbury; many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by her son-in-law, Laurence Mazzone who died in April 2001.
Visiting hours Wednesday, Dec. 16, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. Her funeral will begin Thursday, December 17, at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury.
