Robert James Griffin, 63 of Merrimack, NH passed away peacefully after a long illness Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua NH.
He was the beloved husband of Jean M. (LaMacchia) Griffin sharing 25 years of marriage.
Born in Nashua, NH he was the son of the late Owen and Lillian (Mireault) Griffin, and step-son of the late James Worrell.
Mr. Griffin was employed by Kollsman and retiredfrom BAE Systems in Merrimack. He enjoyed bowling candlepin and ten pin, softball, fishing and family vacations in the lakes region of New Hampshire. Bob was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. Bob was especially close to his grandchildren who brought him much joy.
Mr. Griffin was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy serving with the 101st Fighter Squadron during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Thomas Griffin and his wife Sonya of Hooksett NH , Tracy Griffin of Manchester NH, brothers Kevin Griffin of Merrimack NH, Steven Worrell and his wife Justine Leary of Nashua, NH, ,sisters Maureen Croteau and her husband Russell of Northwood, NH and Debra Merrill and her companion Kevin Droquin of Val Rico, FL, grandchildren Nathan, Ava, Jacob,and Kayla, sisters in law Mary Pimentel and her husband Robert of Ashland, Joanne McCarter and her husband Lawrence of Millis, Donna Kachadorian and her husband Barry of Framingham, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Granddaughter, Makayla Griffin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Thursday, December 17th at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa Church Sherborn at 10:00 A.M.
Visiting hours in the funeral Home are Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Interment Glenwood Cemetery South Natick.
