Obituary

Maher Jeries Haddad passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital on December 12th. He was 59 years old. Born and raised in Jordan, he was the son of the late Jeries and Janet (Nachef) Haddad. Maher came to the United States with his family at the age of 18. The family lived in Watertown before settling in Somerville. Before his retirement, Maher was a chef and restaurateur. A Somerville resident for many years he recently lived in Wakefield. Maher was a devoted husband and father who looked forward to being a grandfather for the first time. He worked hard and enjoyed his large family and many friends.

He was the beloved husband of Graziella (DerTorossian) Haddad of Wakefield and a devoted father to Lindsay Terranova and her husband Michael of Wakefield. Maher lovingly awaited the arrival of his first granddaughter Olivia. He was a dear brother of Makram Haddad and his wife Olga of Somerville, Munther Haddad and his wife Nadia of Saugus, Margaret Al-Beirouty and her husband Khairi, Wafa LaVelle, all of Quincy, and the late Mazen and Malek Haddad. He leaves many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, Wednesday December 16th at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Liturgy in Our Lady of The Annunciation Melkite Catholic Cathedral, 7 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4 – 8 PM.
