Susanne M. (LaBella) Orso, 95, a lifelong Medford resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the Winchester Hospital on Wednesday.
Born in Medford and raised in Medford. Susanne was the daughter of late Philip and Isabelle (Foti) LaBella. She was a graduate of Medford High School.
Susanne was primarily a homemaker but worked in the Medford School Department in the cafeteria for over 10 years. Susanne loved her faith and was a big part of the life at St. Joseph’s Parish in Medford. She was a past State Commander and Life member of the DAV Aux, Chapter 21. In her later years in life, she enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren and her family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Orso. Susanne was the devoted mother of Paul Orso and his wife Arlene of Wilmington, Rosemary Ingram and her husband George of CA, Philip Orso and his wife Charlene of Penn, Edward J. Orso Jr of Medford and Susan Carlino and husband Robert of Stoneham and loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was also the cherished Sister of Catherine Pizzotti of Stoneham and of the late Nathan and Louis La Bella.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Tuesday, December 15th at 9 am followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 10 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday, 4 - 8pm. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
