James D. Fogerty, 77, of Hudson, died on Thursday, Dec. 10th at his residence. He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia R. (Curley) Fogerty who died in 2003.
James was born in Newton, son of the late James F. and Agnes (Peyton) Fogerty. He was raised in Watertown where he attended local schools. He was employed as a mechanic for many years working for the Post Road Motors Company in Watertown. James was a long time member of the Riverside Gun Club in Hudson.
James passion for guns started at a young age and continued for many years. He was proud of his unique collection of various firearms and enjoyed spending time at the Riverside Gun Club. He courageously endured a long battle with Parkinson Disease and treasured the devotion of his family. His memories and legacy of a strong and loving family man will truly be cherished.
He is survived by his two sons, Duane Fogerty and his wife Paula of Sterling and Craig Fogerty of Hudson. He also leaves his granddaughter, Julia Fogerty of Sterling along with his nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jack Fogerty.
James wishes where to have respectful private services held at the convenience of his family. He will be interred with his wife Virginia in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of: Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
