William J. Thistle, age 66, of Natick passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at his home with his family at his side.
Born and raised in Natick, the son of the late William J. Thistle and Theresa (Kadlik) Thistle, he was a graduate of Natick High School class of ‘67.
William worked for the Natick Housing Authority. He was a dedicated member of the VFW post 1274, the American Legion post 107, and serving as chaplain for some time. He had a passion for sports, in particular, the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
Mr. Thistle served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, then friend, Catherine Thistle of Natick. William was the proud father of Christopher Thistle and William J. Thistle, both of Natick and grandfather to his beloved Jack Thistle. He is also survived by his sisters Gloria "Penny" Parks of Plymouth and Janice “GIGI” Franciose.
A celebration of William’s life will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2015 at 2:00P.M. at the Amvets Post #79, Superior Dr., Natick Ma.
