Donald Moniz of Hohenwald, Tennessee died April 19, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital. He was the husband of Jeanette (Carreiro) Moniz of Hohenwald, TN. He was the father of Dennis John Moniz of Nashville, TN. He was the father of the late Donald Moniz. He was the step-father of Jose M. Luiz of Assonet, MA, Todd M. Luiz of New Bedford, MA, and Bonnie Luiz of Nashville, TN. He was the twin brother of Daniel Moniz and his wife Frances of Stamford, CT., Hilda Boucher and her husband Roland of New Bedford, MA., and Evelyn Rosa of Fairhaven, MA. He had 8 Grandchildren, and Several Nieces and Nephews.
Mr. Moniz was the son of the late Marianno and Mary (Furtado) Moniz. He worked as a correctional officer with Bridgewater State Prison, and then he worked for Wal-Mart, and was a Retired U.S. Army National Guard Veteran of both Korean Conflict, and Persian Gulf War.
The Family will receive Relatives and Friends on Friday June 10, 2005 from 1:30-2:30 P.M.. In accordance with his wishes he was cremated. His ashes will be buried next to his beloved son in Rural Cemetery concluding the memorial service.
