Shawn Christopher Long, age 45, died unexpectedly on December 8, 2015. Born in Plymouth , MA on May 11, 1970, he was the beloved son of Wendy Jean (Webber) Long of Buzzards Bay and Michael W. Almeida of Plymouth. He was educated in Plymouth ..For most of his life Shawn worked as a self-employed painter. He enjoyed card playing, darts, and shooting pool as a few of his favorite hobbies. Besides leaving his mother Wendy Voght of Buzzards Bay, his father Michael Almeida and step-mother Jill of Plymouth, Shawn was the loving father of Joslyn Long, Janelle Long and Austin Long all of Plymouth. He was beloved brother of Michael Long and Jesse Almeida both of Plymouth and Tiffany Almeida of NJ. A celebration of life visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 16th, 2015 at the Davis Funeral and Cremation Home, 373 Court St., Plymouth , MA from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service in the Funeral Home at 6:45 p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the Helping Hands for the Plymouth Animal Shelter, 2199 State Road, Plymouth, MA 02360.
