David Hugh Webb, 61, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015, at his home in Tifton. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2015, at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Ring officiating. Mr. Webb will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 13, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Salem Baptist Church.
Born October 27, 1954 in Tifton, Mr. Webb was the son of Hugh Webb and Katherine Lindsey Webb of Tifton. David was employed with the USDA for 27 years as an electrician. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors, mainly deer and dove hunting. He was employed at Little River Plantation for many years as a guide for quail hunts. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, mountain biking and spending time in the mountains.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Webb is survived by his wife of thirty years, DeeAnn Lord Webb of Tifton. David had two sons, Matthew Austin Webb and James David Webb, both of Tifton. He had one daughter, Katherine Ann Gray and son-in-law, Andrew Clayton Gray of Tifton and one stepson, Lucas Nathan Carter of Tifton. He has four grandchildren, Sawyer, Sarafina and Silas Gray and Brooklyn Webb. He has four brothers, Bill Webb of Ty Ty and Mally, John and Gene Webb, all of Tifton.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be made to Salem Baptist Church, 1142 Salem Church Road, Tifton, Ga 31793.
