Mr. James R. McGlathery, 90, of Sarasota, Florida passed away on Sunday May 15, 2005 in Sarasota. He was born on December 16, 1914 in Chatom, Alabama and moved to Sarasota from Arlington, Virginia in 1970. Mr. McGlathery was a management analyst for the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of the Elks Club and was a member of the Methodist Church.
Members of his family include his wife Theresa; a son James R. McGlathery Jr. of Bowie, MD; a stepdaughter Shirley Croteau of Berlin; a stepson Robert Lawrence of San Antonio, TX; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at 10:30 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery in Berlin. Memorial donations may be made to St. Michael School, 140 Blanchard Street, Berlin, NH, 03570 or to the Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5959 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
