Obituary

Paul E. Anderson Jr., 79, of Bedford, NH died December 3, 2015 after a period of declining health.
Born in Manchester on October 2, 1936, he was the son of Paul E. and Mabel A. (Weeks) Anderson Sr. He was educated in the local school system and graduated from Manchester West High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Army and served in Hohenfels, Germany before being honorably discharged in 1957.
Prior to his retirement, Paul was the former head lineman for New England Telephone and Telegraph for 29 years.
In addition, Paul had volunteered 35 years for the Bedford Fire Department, rising to the level of Captain before retiring in 1994. He was also a charter member of the Bedford Fire Department Honor Guard. He had also served the Town of Bedford as Selectman, Town Counselor, and Planning Board Member.
He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years Aline (Grimard) Anderson in 2014.
Family members include his son, Christian E. Anderson of Beecher Falls, VT and his wife Lori Kolatschek; one sister, Betty Bilodeau of St. George, ME; nephews, nieces and cousins.
A graveside memorial service with military honors was held on Saturday, December 11, 2015 in Bedford Center Cemetery.
