Obituary

Mr. Herbert Perry, formerly of Taunton, died November 16 in the Gulfside Hospice at Bayonet Point, Hudson, Fla., following a period of failing health. he was the beloved husband of Catherine M. (McKenna) Perry. He was born 84 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late John and Fannie (Silvia) Perry. He was educated in Taunton and had been a Taunton resident for most of his life, prior to relocating to Florida last year. Prior to his retirement, Herbert had been employed as a warehouseman for Shaw’s Supermarkets. He was previously employed as a solderer for the former F.B. Rogers Silvermiths in Taunton. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, having attained the rank of Staff Sergeant.
In addition to his wife, of Port Richey, Fla., he leaves: 3 sons: Michael Perry of Taunton, Ma. Steven Perry of Coventry, R.I., and Scott Perry of Taunton, Ma.; 2 daughters: Marianne Fernandes of Port Richey, Fla., and Lisa Luongo of Canton, MA; 1 brother: Leo Perry of Taunton; 1 sister: Shirley Giroux of Norton; 8 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Herbert was also the father of the late Jeffrey Perry of E.Taunton, and the brother of the late Fannie Wilford and the late Edmond Perry, both of Taunton.
Private funeral services were held in Port Richey, Fla. Visiting Hours were respectfully omitted. The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton assisted the family with the arrangements.
