Obituary

Mary C. (Sciarpelletti) Frazier, 91 of Westwood, and formerly of Dedham, died Saturday, December 5, 2015 in her home, with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late George F. Frazier Jr.

Born in Dedham on March 12, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Mariano and Nicole (Capozzi) Sciarpelletti.

Before her retirement, Mary worked in the Medical Records Office at Norwood Hospital and the Bubbling Brook Restaurant with her brother Ernie.

Mary was an active member of the Westwood Senior Center and in her spare time enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the movies with her friends.

She is survived by her children, Dorothy Perchard and her late husband Jerry of Walpole and Mary Ellen Vargas and her husband Luis of Walpole. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Ernest Sciarpelletti of Boca Raton, FL, and her sister Elsie Bothwick of Westwood. She was the sister of the late Joseph Sciarpelletti and Americo Sciarpelletti who was killed in action during WWII.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, December 10, at 9:15am from the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St., Walpole followed by a funeral Mass in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St., Westwood at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 9 from 4-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in her name to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215 or St. Jude Children`s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
