Obituary

Gerard Helie, 84, of Manchester, NH died Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Hillsborough County Home following a period of declining health.

He was born in Canada and was the son of Philippe and Rosalienne (Martel) Helie.

Gerard enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf and watching the Montreal Canadians play hockey. He was a lifetime member of the Alpine Club, the Rimmon Club, the Lafayette Club and the Elks Club. He was also a member of the Knight of Columbus.

Family members include his beloved wife of 12 years, Claire Remillard Helie of Manchester; his daughter, Suzanne Goudreau of Goffstown; two step-sons, Donald Barry and his wife Lorraine of Manchester, Albert Barry and his wife Cathy of Merrimack; his grandson, Jason Goudreau; his granddaughter, Amy Lacroix; his step-grandchildren, Aiden, Nolan, Christopher, Adison and Gavyn; step-great-grandchildren, Donald, Danny and David; step great-great granddaughter, Autumn; his sister, Georgette Helie of Canada; his brother, Jean Guy Helie of Canada. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Gaston Helie in 2015.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, December 10, 2015 in Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd, Manchester.
