Dannie Steven Taylor, 64, of Summitville, passed away suddenly on Dec. 7, 2015 at Community Hospital.
He was born October 13, 1951 in Livingston, Tennessee.
He was a loving husband to Deborah (Rigdon) Taylor and father to Angela (Terry) McConnell.
He enjoyed target shooting alone, with friends and with his grandsons. He also liked fishing, boating, hunting, bowling, golfing, riding motorcycles, working in the yard, camping and building things.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge, where he was a devoted staff member of the Jessica Lyndsie Memorial Ride; a U. S. Army Veteran; U.A.W. retiree; American Legion Post 127 and American Legion Post 127 Riders.
He worked in skilled trades at General Motors in Muncie and Marion before retiring in 2008.
He was preceded in death by his father, Archie Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Deborah (Rigdon) Taylor of Summitville; daughter, Angela (Terry) McConnell; three grandchildren, Caston, Izon and Kenley; his mother, Johnnie (Bilbrey) Hogue (Frank); four sisters, Linda (Dan) Eastman; Carol Stern (Roger Faircloth); Joyce (Randy) Weidner; and Patsy (Jim) Gibson; lots of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Services will be 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, with Ned Clark officiating. Military rites will be provided by VFW Post 266 Honor Guard and National Guard Honors.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
