HORNE Jr., Carl John, 91, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015.
He retired from DuPont where he had been a computer tech. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church where he ushered for many years and enjoyed the Fundamental JR Baraca Bible Class. He was also Life Master at the game of Bridge, President of the Louisville Bridge Association, and belonged to the Highland Kiwanis Club.
Carl was preceded in death by grandson, David Ehrler, Jr. and brother, Everett Horne.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bonnie Horne; daughters, Glenda Ehrler and Patty Real (Mark); grandchildren, Chris Ehrler, Bonnie Brown Real (Colin) and Amanda Real Taylor (Brandon); 6 great grandchildren; and sister, Glendora Horne.
Visitation will be 4-7pm Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road. There will be a graveside service 11am Wednesday at Cave Hill Cemetery.
