Glenda Barnes Hutchinson, 67, of Fitzgerald, died Thursday, December 3, 2015, at her daughter’s residence in Macclenny, Florida.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Monday, December 7, 2015, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. The interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, December 6, 2015 from 6 to 8 at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Hutchinson was born February 14, 1948, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Larky and Willie Frances Herring Barnes. She lived in the community all of her life and was the owner and operator of G & C Country Store. Mrs. Hutchinson was a member of the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society and a long time member of the National Rifle Association. She was of the holiness faith.
Mrs. Hutchinson is survived by her children: Teresa Ellis Rountree of Fitzgerald, Lisa Ellis Hutchinson & Robert of Macclenny, Florida, Jimmy Ellis & Jennifer of Fitzgerald and Candis Lynn Hutchinson of Fitzgerald; eight step-children; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; two brothers: Bobby Barnes and Betty of Macclenny, Florida and Kenneth Barnes & Marilyn of Sanderson, Florida; two sisters: Gail Barnes Wilkerson & James of Taylor, Florida and Donna Barnes Stanford & Roger of Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Edwin Hutchinson; four grandchildren: J. C. Cotterman, Anthony Hutchinson, Jr., Sierra Roberson, and Jackson Cotterman and a great-grandchild: Ashton Hutchinson.
