Jean Odum Hutchinson, 70, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, December 3, 2015, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Sunday, December 6, 2015, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Kenny Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday.
Mrs. Hutchinson was born September 8, 1945, in Coffee County, Georgia, to the late John William & Lula Story Odum. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. A member of LIFE Church, she enjoyed singing with the Praise Team. Mrs. Hutchinson was an avid musician who played piano and organ and loved to sing Karaoke with her family.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Telissa & Thomas Morel, Billy R. Hutchinson, Jr., John Victor & Kimberly Hutchinson, and Valerie Denise Watson, all of Fitzgerald; her grandchildren: Cheltzi & Jamie Hinks, Joel Morel, Terry Wiggins, Scott Wiggins, Kirk Hutchinson, John Riley Hutchinson, Brayden Hutchinson, Kaylee Watson, and Bailey Watson; and three sisters: Wanda & Junior Harrell, Patricia McKinnon, and Susan & Michael Sears, all of Douglas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy R. Hutchinson, Sr.; one sister, Shirley Faye Odum and one brother, Ray Carroll Odum.
