WORCESTER-Michael J. Verdini, 53, of Worcester passed away Thursday, December 3 at his sister’s home in Sutton after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 11 years, Diane (Lund) Verdini; three daughters, Kathleen Verdini, Kristina Feddo and Briana Verdini all of Worcester; four grandchildren, D’yani, Dezalise, Analycia and Genesis; his father, Edo Verdini of Sutton; three brothers, Paul Verdini and his wife, Eilyana of Holden, James Verdini and his wife, Sheila of Worcester and Dr. John Verdini and his wife, Helena of Castletown, NY; a sister, Christine Verdini of Sutton and nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of the late, Clare (Creegan) Verdini and graduated from the Worcester Vocational School. He served nine years in the Massachusetts 212th Air National Guard, retiring as a Staff Sargent, receiving the Air Force Meritorious Service Ribbon and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. Michael lived in Eagle Lake, FL for 14 years, recently returning to the Worcester area.
He was employed at Lowe’s and Home Depot for several years. He was a member of Saint Stephen’s Church.
The Funeral will be held Monday, December 7 from CALLAHAN~FAY~CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 10AM in St. Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton Street. Burial will be in Saint John’s Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Sunday, December 6 from 1 to 4PM at the funeral home.
