Gerald Lee “Koby” Kalbfleisch, 68, passed away Monday, November 30, 2015 at Baptist Health Louisville.
He retired after 31 years of service, as a City of Louisville Police Officer, where he received the Merit and Valor Award and was named the Officer of the Year in 1979. He was an Army Reserve Veteran, a member of the FOP Lodge #6 and a member of Larchmont Church of God.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marsha E. (Johnson); children, Stacie Lynn Edington (Tim), Kellie Marie Kalbfleisch, Benton Ray Reffett and Chester David Reffett; step-children, Michelle Lee Wright (Randy) and Christopher Wayne Fields; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
His funeral will be Friday, December 4, 2015 1:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with a private burial. Visitation will be Thursday, December 3, 2015 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
