Drucilla Koonce Harrison, age 92, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born November 13, 1923 in Yalobusha County, MS to the late Lee and Hallie Hendrix Koonce. Drucilla was a retired seamstress for Kellwood Industries and a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Coffeeville. She was an avid Ole Miss football fan and enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading her Bible and spending time with her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Coffeeville. Funeral services will follow the visitation at the church with Rev. Charles Lipe, Rev. Larry Kilgore and Bro. Truman Scarborough officiating. Burial will be in the Coffeeville City Cemetery with John David Allen, Jonathan Bray, Billy Byford, Gene Hill, David Kilgore and Scoot Taylor serving as pallbearers. King Bell, Allen Freer, Jonathan Freer, Kenny Harrison, Brad Kilgore, Larry Kilgore, Ben Liles, Greg Miller and Harry Neal will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Drucilla is survived by her husband of 75 years, Marvie Lee Harrison of Coffeeville, MS; her daughter, Geneva (Richard) Allen; two grandchildren, Stephanie Park and John (Penny) Allen; one great grandchild, Anna Grace Allen all of Oxford, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
