Robert L Penta of Medford died on Tuesday, December 1. Born and raised in East Boston, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Crescio) Penta. After proudly serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, Robert was employed as a computer technician for John Hancock.
Robert was the beloved husband of Sylvia (Webber) Penta, and the devoted father of Kenneth Penta and his partner David Shorey of Melrose, Bruce Penta and his wife Michelle of Topsfield, and Beverly Penta of Medford. He was the loving grandfather of Meredith, Elizabeth, Alexandria, and Sophia. Robert is also survived by his brother Joseph "Buddy" Penta of East Boston, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Thursday, December 3, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9:30 - 11:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
