Genevieve “Jean” E. (Poole) Sansoucie, 81, a resident of Windham, NH and a former longtime resident of North Andover, MA, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Lawrence, MA, Jean was a graduate of St. Rita’s Grammar School and St. Mary’s High School. Jean was retired from the Durso Insurance Agency. Prior to that, she had worked as a secretary at Merrimack College in the Biology Department and then the Registrar’s Office. Jean had also worked as a medical secretary for four different doctors. Jean loved to go play Bingo with her late sister Marilyn. For many years she enjoyed going to Las Vegas with her husband twice a year. Jean also enjoyed going to Atlantic City and Foxwoods. She will always be remembered for spending time with her loving family.
The daughter of the late James W. and Genevieve A. (Quinn) Poole, members of Jean’s family include her husband of 61 years, John “Jack” Sansoucie, her children, John “Jack” Sansoucie and his wife Jan of Windham, NH and Gayle Murphy and her husband Kevin of Seabrook Beach, NH. She was also the mother of the late William “Billy” Sansoucie who passed away in 1975 as well as sister to the late Marilyn Spanks. Jean is also survived by four grandchildren, Drew Murphy and his wife Dominique of Boston, MA, Laura Murphy of New York City, Cathryn Sansoucie, and Matthew Sansoucie both of Windham, NH.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 35 Merrimack St., North Andover, MA. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery, also in North Andover, MA. Family and friends may call on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
