TEWKSBURY - Mrs. Maryann H. (Liuzza) Tucceri, age 88, died peacefully Tuesday morning, December 1, at Wingate at Belvidere in Lowell, after a long period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of Gino J. Tucceri, with whom she had celebrated a sixty-eighth wedding anniversary this past September 1st.
She was born in Boston, in July 1927, one of four children of the late Leonardo and Frances (Summa) Liuzza, and was raised in East Boston and Medford. After her marriage to Gino, they lived in Medford before moving to Tewksbury in 1955 to raise their family.
In her earlier years, she worked as a dressmaker at the Robert Leonard Company in Lowell, and in her later years, she worked the produce department at Market Basket’s Oakdale store in Tewksbury.
She was a communicant of St. William’s Church in Tewksbury.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Richard “Dick” Cuoco of Tewksbury; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert G. and Lillian (Lauzon) Tucceri, and Paul N. and Susan (McVey) Tucceri all of Tewksbury; seven grandchildren, Julann Briggs , Kristi Rodgers, Robert Tucceri, Kenneth Tucceri all of Tewksbury, Laura Butler of Lowell, Jeffrey Tucceri, and Jennifer Magary both of Tewksbury; twelve great grandchildren, Bobby, Ryan, Rylie, Brady, Brennan, Ava, Ella, Jeffrey, Jude, Jack, Vincent, and Francesca; many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by her siblings, Leonard “Red” Liuzza, Mary Falzone, and Frank Liuzza.
Visiting hours Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. Her funeral will begin Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury.
