Patricia D. (Carney) Tricomi, a long-time Medford resident, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, November 29, 2015 in the Brooksby Village Nursing Home of Peabody. She was 91.
Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Margaret (Smith) Carney. Raised in Medford, Patricia was a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1942. Following graduation, she met her husband Benjamin and the two married in 1948. Together they built their family with love and devotion. Patricia was an Administrator at Malden Hospital. After many years of service, she retired in 1986. Following retirement, Patricia spent her time with her children and grandchildren. She was a loving and caring woman who was devoted to her faith and family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Benjamin Tricomi, who passed away in 1996. The two shared forty eight loving years together. The devoted mother of Janet Di Paola and her husband Vincent of Medford, the late Joan Alto and her surviving husband Ron of AZ, Steve Tricomi and his wife Anne-Marie of Canada, Bob Tricomi of Bedford, Tom Tricomi of Medford, and Lisa Tricomi of Peabody. Loving grandmother of Jennifer Jaeckel and her husband Matt of Clinton, Jolene Grande and her husband Michael of TN, Dominique Calderon and her husband Cisco of AZ, Ben Alto and his wife Kellie of AZ, Christina and Andrew Tricomi both of Canada, Erica and Briana Tricomi both of Peabody. She was also the loving great grandmother of nine. Dear sister of Margaret Rogers and her husband Jack of Peabody, Larry Carney and his wife Sue of Melrose and brother-in-law Larry Rudolph of Framingham. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her siblings Rita McDonald, Alice Rudolph, Anne Carroll and Tom Carney.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, on Wednesday December 2nd at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, in Medford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be set in Patricia’s name to St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 381051942 or Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
