EVERETT L. PARISH, JR. 90, passed away on November 28, 2015.
He was a retired employee of Naval Ordinance; Past Master of Shively Masonic Lodge #951; Past District Deputy Grand Master (Old District #16); Past Grand High Priest, Grand Chapter, Royal Arch Masons of Kentucky; Past High Priest, Iroquois Chapter #193 Royal Arch Masons; Past Illustrious Master, Sword and Trowel Council #111; Past Commander, Jefferson Commandery #52; Past Governor General, York Rite College; Past Patron, Shively Eastern Star Chapter #566; and a member of Friendship Ct #22 Amaranth and Shively Heights Baptist Church. Everett received many awards through his service including, Knight York Grand Cross of Honor, Order of the Purple Cross, Knight Templar Cross of Honor and Royal Order of Scotland.
Preceding him in death was his beloved wife, Catherine (Keeling) Parish.
Survivors include his children, Carolyn McGrew, Robert Parish, Bonnie Lloyd (Robert) and Donna Harnagel (John); nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and his beloved pet, Dutchess.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Bardstown Cemetery, Bardstown, KY.
Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Tuesday.
