James B. "Jim" Epperly

James B. "Jim" Epperly, 78, of Anderson, died November 27, 2015 at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis following an extended illness.
He was born on September 10, 1937 in Anderson, the son of William and Viola (Smith) Epperly. He was employed as a toolmaker with Guide Lamp Division of General Motors retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Christian Congregation Church, UAW, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed watching the Colts, camping and computers.
He is survived by his children; Michael (Toni) Epperly and Candace Brock, 2 step children, Kenra Humble, and Danny (Tina) Stanley; 8 Grandchildren: James Michael Epperly, Lisa (Daniel) Craigo, Jessica Brock, Tiffany Brock, Kristopher (Heidi) Barnett, Keith (Krystal) Barnett, Lauren( Jeremy) Ormsby, Megan (Brent) Smith ; 9 great grandchildren; Eli James, Theresa, and Conner, Kami, Noah and Phoenix, Gwenyth, Kaleb and Eli Robert, Siblings: Bertha Wood, Kenny Epperly, Butch (Janet) Epperly, Joyce (Marvin) Short, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol Ann (Nugent) Epperly, oldest son, James B. Epperly Jr, and brothers, Charlie and Bill.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 11 AM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Mike Whiteman officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3-7 PM at the funeral home.
