Obituary

DOWD, Bernard L. Of Raynham, formerly of Hyde Park, November 27th in his 100th Year. Beloved husband of the late Helen F. (Petroski) Dowd. Devoted father of Thomas E. Dowd and his wife Alice of West Roxbury, Barbara F. Deagle of Quincy. Grandfather of Janis Taranto and her husband Jack of Natick. Brother of the late Sally Negethon, Mary Hanburry, Ann Bertolino, Catherine Boyle, John, George, and William Dowd. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Bernard was a retired employee of the City of Boston. WWII Army veteran. Member of Raynham American Legion and the Jamaica Plain VFW. Longtime member of the George Wright Golf Club.

Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY, Tuesday at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Theresa's Church, West Roxbury at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
