RUELLE, Dorothy E. (Gately)- Of malden, November 27th. Devoted wife of the late Alwin J. Ruelle, Sr. Beloved mother of Paula Ruelle of Ipswich, Cathy Ruelle-Dahlquist and her husband Brad of Longmeadow, Alwin J. Ruelle, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Westford, Mark J. Ruelle and his wife Bittina of Westford and the late Donna Ruelle-Fitzpatrick and her surviving husband Bernie of Malden. Dear sister of Elizabeth Stepasiuk of Wakefield, Jane Gagne of North Reading, Irene Craven of Melrose and the late Leo Gately and his surviving wife Carole of Malden. Cherished grandmother of Christian, Tor-Bjorn, Jill, Signe, Kellen, Brittini, Brannon, Keira, Matthieu, Collette and Renee. Also lovingly survived by her great grandchildren, Ashlyn, Kierce, Aidan, Liv, Rhynn, Avary and Henrik, her best friend, Helen Corey of Peabody as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street, (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Tuesday, December 1st at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem St., Malden at 10 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8 PM. Committal Services are private. A lifelong resident and graduate of Girls Catholic High School, Dorothy passed away Friday morning at the Winchester Hospital at the age of 90. After high school, she matriculated to the University of Lowell, where she was the Prsident of her class and then to Simmons College to earn her Master's Degree, which she did as an honor's student. For 40 years she was a teacher in the Malden School System, retiring from the Lincoln Junior High School where she taught reading and was a special ed teacher. An active member of St. Joseph's Parish, she was involved in the CCD classes, Pre-Cana classes as well as the Christian Family Movement. Devoted to her family and friends, in her spare time she enjoyed reading.
