WEBSTER – Beatrice F. (Hurd) Zisk, 84, of 1211 School Street, died Friday, June 3, in the Hospice Center at Coes Pond, Worcester. Her husband of 55 years, Edward M. Zisk, died in 2000.
She leaves a sister, Dorothea Tarbell of Rutland; her niece and guardian, Julie Caron and her husband Paul of W. Brookfield; her nephew, Peter Tarbell and his wife Jean of Sebastian, FL;
two grandnieces, Janie Prevost and her husband Thomas of Southwick, and Beth Beaudoin and her husband Randy of N. Brookfield; a grandnephew, Ronald Allen II and his wife Anne of W. Brookfield; two great grandnieces, Courtney Allen of W. Brookfield and Faith Beaudoin of N. Brookfield; a great grandnephew, Clayton Beaudoin of N. Brookfield; her dear friend, Claire Desrosiers of Webster; and many longtime friends.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Julia (Borus) Hurd, and was raised by her aunt Rose Borus. She was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Bartlett High School in the class of 1937, and was a member of the National Honor Society.
Mrs. Zisk worked as an office clerk at Bates Shoe Company for many years before she retired in 1982. She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica and its Saint Anne Society.
A memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 11, in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. There are no calling hours.
