Virginia (Medeiros) Silva, 93, of Fairhaven died June 2, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Antone Silva.
Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Joseph and Emily (Medeiros) Medeiros, she lived in New Bedford most of her life before moving to Fairhaven.
Mrs. Silva was formerly employed by several local textile mills for many years until her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, family gatherings and crafts. Mrs. Silva was a member of Mt. Carmel Seniors.
Survivors include a son, Raymond Silva, and his wife Gail, of Fairhaven; 2 daughters, Eleanor Margeson, and her husband Robert, of Fairhaven and Irene Carey of New Bedford; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Manuel Medeiros, Mary Medeiros and Angelina Figueiredo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, Monday, June 6th at 11 AM.
Visiting hours Sunday, June 5th from 5-7 PM.
Interment St. John's Cemetery.
