Obituary

Virginia (Ginney) R. Kramer, 89, of Londonderry, NH, died Saturday, November 21, 2015, at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH, surrounded by family. She was born in Boston, MA on October 30, 1926, daughter of the late Chester and Ruth (Babcock) Black. Raised in Arlington, MA, Ginney graduated from Arlington High School, and later received her Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Boston University. She raised her children with her husband Richard Kramer in Winchester, MA, and was a resident of Londonderry, NH for the past 20 years. Ginney was an active member of the Londonderry Newcomers’ Club and their Book Club. She also was a devoted and beloved member of the Londonderry United Methodist Church. Her favorite hobbies were to write letters and poems to her loved ones and close friends, and converse with all people—those close to her and new acquaintances alike. Rarely did she miss an occasion to send a card or note for birthdays, anniversaries, and special celebrations.
She is survived by two daughters, Martha Fava and Ellen Laub, as well as their husbands, Roy and Ron, respectively; one son, Richard P. Kramer Jr. and his wife Karen; her five grandchildren, Rian & Sarah Laub, Rebecca & Adam Lang, Nicole & Elisa Fava-Trucco, Matthew Fava, and Ricky Kramer; as well as her four great-grandchildren, Rachel and Gavin Lang, and Nora and Rainer Laub. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Richard P. Kramer Sr., in 1998. Ginney will forever be remembered by her family and friends for her warm heart, open-mind, and the power of positive thinking that helped shape so many lives.
Calling hours were held from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, November 27, 2015, at Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A funeral service was held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 28,2015, at Londonderry United Methodist Church, Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. The burial followed at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Hospital of Boston, MA.
