Nathaniel Gilbert Ketchen, age 47, of Bourne, formerly of Manomet, died Friday November 20th at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford following a long hard battle with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. He was the son of William Ketchen of Chicopee, and Kathy Taber-Post and her husband Randy of Manomet. Nathaniel is also survived by his daughters Samantha Stevens of Manomet, and Evanna Quinn of Martha’s Vineyard, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Born on October 3, 1968 in Milwaukee WI, he later went on to graduate from Cape Cod Vocational Technical High School. He made his career as an off shore lobsterman, and in later years as a carpenter for his own business. Nathaniel loved skiing, scuba diving, fishing, clamming, lobstering, researching, and was a great guitar player. He was a hard worker. A visitation will be held at the Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd. in Manomet, on Wednesday, November 25th, from 9:00 till 11:00 am, followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 am.
