Jean Williams Godin
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, November 19, 2015, Mrs. Jean Williams Godin, 87, wife of Mr. Jules Godin.
Mrs. Godin was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She was in fellowship at Bethany Bible Chapel, and taught Sunday School there for over 40 years. Mrs. Godin worked as an Associate Professor in the School of Business at Augusta College and earned the Teacher of the Year Award. The annual dedication of the White Colums was dedicated to her. She was a member of the Rose Society and the Board of Young Life in Augusta. Mrs. Godin sponsored the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Phi Beta Lambda. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa.
Family members in addition to her husband include daughter: Elizabeth Godin Kane of Augusta; grandchildren: Katherine Jules Kane and Hamilton Williams Kane; and brother: Danny Williams and wife Polly of Augusta. Mrs. Godin was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Lewis Williams.
A funeral service will be Monday, November 23, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Bethany Bible Chapel with J.B. Nicholson and Alan Parks and officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Tony Walsh, Jimmy Arnett, Larry Williams, Rick Williams, Gene Barinoski, Will Schafer and Peter Hoffmann.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Bible Chapel, 401 Milledge Road, Augusta, GA 30904.
The family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to the service at the Bethany Bible Chapel beginning at 1:00 P.M.
