Lillian F. (Keefe) Kearney, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the Cambridge Hospital. She was 95 years old.
Lillian was born in Dedham on October 29, 1920, a daughter of the late Edward Keefe and Louise (Sullivan) Keefe. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system. Lillian worked as a clerk for Sears & Roebuck Company in Boston for 30 years. Lillian's family was most precious to her, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a season ticket holder with the Boston Red Sox. She also loved to walk.
Lillian is the beloved wife of the late Maurice B. Kearney. She is the devoted mother to Janice Michalski, Mary Butler, James Kearney, Richard Kearney, and Joanne Kearney. She is the loving Nana to Gerard, Gregory, Pamela, Cara, Terence, Amy, Meaghan and to her great-grandchildren Evan, Kylie, Kayleigh, Kelsie, Grace, Nolan, Cesare, Katie, Ainsley, Kendall, and Colin. She is the beloved sister of Helen Kane and Ruth Miller. Lillian is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lillian's Funeral on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 12 Noon. Her burial will be at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery in Quincy. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 2 to 6 P.M. in the funeral home.
