She passed from her home into Eternal Life following a long Journey Home with Alzheimer’s surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Trois Rivierès, Province of Quebec, Canada on March 29, 1931, a beloved daughter of the late Maurice Roy and Jeanne (Brisson) Roy. Her early years were spent in Canada and, in 1945, her family moved to the Chicopee Falls section of Chicopee where they lived for many years. In 1969, Mariette and her late husband, Roger, moved to the Willimansett section of Chicopee. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Roger Marcel Fontaine.
