Murphy, William F., Jr. of Quincy June 1, 2005.

Beloved husband of Lois (O'Brien) Murphy of Quincy. Loving father of William F. Murphy, III and his wife Rosemary of New Zealand, Laura M. and her husband Shinji Tsudome of Westchester, NY and the late Kevin S. Murphy and Pamela A. Murphy. Dear brother of Esther Mullaney of Quincy, John C. Murphy of Quincy, Marjorie Comoletti of Braintree, Veronica Mormino of Quincy, and the late Richard Murphy and Theresa McNeil. Cherished grandfather "Deepa" of Leah and Belle Murphy, Ryan and Lauren Murphy, and Miya and Lilah Tsudome. Loving father-in-law of Barbara J. Murphy of Hanover.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Monday at 9:00 AM.

Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish in Most Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00 AM.

Visiting hours Sunday 1 - 4 PM and 7 - 9 PM.

Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Murphy may be made to Most Blessed Sacrament Church of the Holy Trinity Parish, 1000 Sea St. Quincy, MA 02169.

Retired Captain of the Quincy Police Department, Mr. Murphy served as Captain from 1983 to 1990 and was a member of the police force since 1957. Mr. Murphy was a graduate of the FBI Academy, had obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and a Master's Degree in Police Administration from Anna Maria. Mr. Murphy also served as a Security Consultant to Proctor & Gamble for 17 years. He was an avid walker and jogger, was a member of the Y.M.C.A., enjoyed golf, traveling, and working in his yard gardening. He and his wife spent many winters in Naples, FL. He loved spending time with his many friends, family and grandchildren.
