Jeanine Kennedy Johnson, 78, passed away Saturday morning, November 14, 2015 at her Yulee, FL residence.
Mrs. Johnson was born October 27, 1937 in Fairborn, OH, the daughter of Timothy and Mildren Keis Kennedy. She moved to Yulee in 1989 from Hanahan, SC. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Fernandina Beach. Mrs. Johnson was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving as a First Lieutenant with the Nurse Corps. After leaving active duty with the Air Force she was also employed as a nurse in Ohio, Massachusetts and Florida. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed cross stitch, fishing and bowling.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Keith Kennedy.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Ronald Johnson. They met on a blind date while fishing in West Palm Beach. Also surviving are her three daughters and sons in law, Brenda Marie and Bill Tomlinson of Jacksonville, FL ; Dawn Gayle and Jeff Teston of Naples, FL; and Wanda Kay and Leonard Langdon of Fulton, NY; a brother and sister in law, Lynn and Bertha Kennedy; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father Jose Kallukalam, celebrant.
