Age 84, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2015 surrounded by his family. Ron was born on August 14, 1931 in St. Paul, MN. He was a graduate of Harding High School, Class of 1949. He enlisted in the Air Force & served his country from 1952 to 1953. He met, & then married his wife, Janice in 1952. They resided in St. Paul, MN where Ron was a Tool & Die Maker for Remlee Eng. & Hartzell Mfg. In 1973 Ron bought his dream business, Anderson Sports Port in Orr, MN. He & Janice owned & operated the business until 2007 when he officially retired. Ron was an avid outdoorsman & athlete. He played handball & racquetball, loved to fish, hunt, boat, waterski & swim. He was musically inclined & learned to play the accordion at an early age. Ron loved to play & entertain with his accordion & provided music at many parties. He was strong willed, big hearted, worked hard for his family, loved a party & always had jokes to tell. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Janice; his parents Edward & Emma; & 2 grandchildren. He is survived by his 3 daughters Brenda (Scott) Kuehl, Kim (Jon) Boehmer & Ronette (Mark) Novak; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother Robert (Mary) Anderson; brother-in-law John (Kay) Hawksford; & sister-in-law Charlotte (Stanley Fouks. Ron was much loved & will be greatly missed by his family & friends. Though gone from sight, he will remain in our hearts always. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at K & J Catering, Victorian Room, 2548 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul (parking in back) from 2 to 5 pm, with a remembrance at 2:30 pm.
