Obituary

Charles Rodolakis, age 95, passed away on Nov. 11, 2015 at Willimansett Center West Nursing Home. He was born on Nov. 17, 1919 in Chicopee and has been a lifelong resident. Charles was a son of the late George and Helen (Stavralakis) Rodolakis. He was a Tech Sgt for the Air Force Reserve at Westover Air Reserve Base. He was a WWII veteran. He was an Aircraft Engine Mechanic for the Air Force. He served in the War Theaters of Northern France, Ardenes, Rhineland, Central Europe, Air Offensive Europe and Normandy. He was a recipient of the EAME Theater Ribbon with 6 Bronze Stars. He was a member of Sts Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. He was also a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He leaves his brother Michael Rodolakis of Chicopee; 2 sisters, Mary Rodolakis of Chicopee and Theresa Picard of NC along with many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Tony and John Rodolakis. Calling hours will be held on Wed., Nov. 18, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in Sts Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Grattan St, Chicopee. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Church at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sts Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, PO Box 943, Chicopee, MA 01014. The Grise Funeral Home in entrusted with arrangements.
