Obituary

Madelyn Wood age 92 of Canton passed away at home November 11th surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Cambridge, she graduated from Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School where she was a cheerleader and played on the tennis team. She was a Navy Veteran of WW II and served as the Aid to Commander Fetter. She owned Lynwood’s Clothing Store in Stoughton and formerly worked as a secretary at Wiggins Airport in Norwood. She has lived in Canton for over 50 years and was an active member and Lector at St. John the Evangelist Church. Beloved wife of Robert A. Wood, Sr. and the late Stuart Morash. Loving mother of Richard Morash of Canton. Step-mother of Kathleen Dunn & her husband Thomas of Plymouth and Robert A. Wood, Jr. & his wife Helene of Easton. Also survived by her 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Visiting hours in the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton, Friday 4-7 pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Saturday morning at 10:30. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park Canton. Navy Veteran WW II.
