WORCESTER – John Kotowski, 54, of 73 Providence St., died Tuesday, May 31, in Saint Vincent Hospital.
He leaves a daughter, Susan Kotowski of Worcester; 4 siblings, Hedy Nicholson and her husband Donald of Dudley, Chester Kotowski and his wife Donna of Wilmington, DE, Ann Nostin and her husband John of Noblesville, IN, and Steven J. Watroba and his wife Carol of Webster; several nieces and nephews; and his wife, Colleen (Shackett) Kotowski and his stepdaughter, Cheryl Shackett, both of Worcester. His brother, Andrew Kotowski, died in 1967.
He was born in Heilbronn, Germany and raised in Dudley, the son of the late Sophie (Hermaszewski) Watroba and of Joseph Watroba. He graduated from Bartlett High School in Webster and attended the University of Mass. at Amherst.
Mr. Kotowski was a roofer for Titan Roofing in Worcester for many years. He was an avid fisherman, gardener, and reader. He was also a NASCAR enthusiast.
The funeral will be held Saturday, June 4, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 1:30 PM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St., Dudley. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Calling hours are from 11:00 to 12:45 Saturday, June 4, at the funeral home.
