Harlan L. Wagers
Jan. 12, 1963 to Nov. 9, 2015

Harlan L. Wagers, 52, of Anderson died at his residence after a brief illness.

He was born, January 12, 1963 in Berrien Springs, Mich., to Alden and Clara (Rush) Wagers.

He sandblasted at Tetrasolv for 11 years. They were very good to him.

He loved fast cars and hanging out with the guys. He always put his "Family First". Children loved him as much as he loved them.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Nancy Jo (Riedel) Wagers whom he married 8-8-88 (whom he loved "mostest"); his step-daughter, Sondra Riedel; grandson, his Bestest pal, JayJay Hendrickson (3 peas in a pod); two sisters, Linda (James) Gilley; and Kay (Clarence) Watson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Shirley, Peggy and Virginia; brothers Harvey and Jim; nephew, Aaron, nieces Heather and Tammy.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, with Rev. Paul Strozier of Madison Park Church of God officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery. Harlan requested casual wear.

Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to his family.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all the healthcare providers at the Anderson Cancer Center, to his caregiver and best friend, Lester Phillips; niece, Shyanne Scharnowske and sister Linda.
