Obituary

Clyde L. DeLande, 77, of Squire Lane, East Providence, died November 6, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trinidad, West Indies, a son of the late Dades and Carmen (Reverio) DeLande, he came to the United States as a young man. Clyde was the husband of Gloria B (Nassiff) DeLande. He studied Design and Architecture at the Royal Victoria Institute. Clyde was a structural engineer at the former American Steel and Aluminum Co. for many years. Most recently, he was a bus driver for Johnson and Wales University.

Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Rene DeLande of Providence, and Franco and Curt DeLande both of East Providence, four daughters Gail, Michelle, Debbie, and Camille DeLande, all of Brasil Village, Trinidad, twenty two grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held Friday at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, RI, from 4-7 PM concluding with a prayer service.
