Joseph Charles Regnault, 94, of Providence, RI, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 8, 2015.
Joe was born on June 17, 1921 in Providence, the son of the late Anelia and Charles Regnault. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School then enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served on the U.S.S. Braine in the Pacific during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1945 then worked as a machinist at Leesona Corporation in Warwick, RI for 40 years.
He was an avid golfer and longtime member of Triggs Country Club in Providence. He also enjoyed cooking, was an artist and was talented at needlepoint.
Joe is predeceased by his siblings Therese Holmes, Josephine Moss, Mayme O'Shea, Leo Regnault, and Frances Broadbent. Joe leaves behind his daughter Michele Peters and her husband Ken of Mystic, CT, his daughter Denise Lachowski and her husband Chris of North Stonington, CT, and his granddaughter Alexis Peters. He is survived by his brother Edmund Regnault of Coventry, RI.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am today, November 10, at St. Patrick Church, 32 East Main Street, Mystic. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery, 72 Church Street, Cranston RI. There are no visiting hours.
