LACONIA – Susan G. Lewis, 57, of 106 Water Street, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 6, 2015 in her home.
She was born on September 24, 1958 in Lowell, MA, the daughter of the late Francis and Gertrude (Vallincourt) Sweeney. She was a graduate of Dracut High School in Mass. Susan moved to the Lakes region 13 years ago to be close to her brothers Frank and Tim Sweeney. She worked for 28 years for EFI Vutek as an electrical technician. Susan had also worked for Scotts for 16 years as a prototype engineer. She loved her home on the river where she enjoyed fishing and boating. Susan was an avid Patriots fan, loved racing and Easters at the ocean. The love of her life was her husband Barney and her dog, Charlie. Her family and her friends at work were very important to Susan.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin “Barney” Lewis of Laconia, two brothers; Frank and Timothy Sweeney, one sister, Cynthia (Sweeney) Marvin, three nieces, seven nephews, nine great nieces, eight great nephews and one great great nephew. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Deborah Sweeney.
Calling hours will be held from 5Pm to 8Pm on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
Funeral and burial services will be private.
